What is new ?

1. New set-up for Win NT added

2. User Interface

a) Font code combo box now displays font codes in two groups. Product based font codes and Web-based font codes. Web based font codes refer to the font codes used in various web sites (mainly Indian language news-papers and other sites displaying text in Hindi-Marathi) while Product based font codes refer to codes used in different products such as Shree-Lipi etc.

b) User has to specify the input font code correctly for all files except .doc file (and .rtf file conversion using Ms-Word). This is made simpler in the manner described below.

Now you can find out the font code of input file by clicking View button. This function converts the sample text (or data) from the file to Parivartan font assuming the input font code as specified by the user and displays the same in Parivartan font (supplied with the package). Input font code selection can be assumed correct if text is displayed properly. User can change to another font code if the displayed text is not proper. View function will then convert the sample text to Parivartan font, assuming the new font code for input and display the same in Parivartan font. This experiment can be repeated till the text is displyed properly. The final specification of input font code is then carried for further processing.

User can view any file (except .doc file) in this manner even if the required font is not instlled on his/her PC.

3. Parivartan added to MS-WORD as a macro

Now user can install Parivartan as a macro in MS-WORD so that .doc (and .rtf) files can be converted from within WORD itself. What's more, user can convert only the selected text in a file also.
